Adventureous Helicopter Access to Remote Jungle Waters

The heli-fishing program operates from Pluma Lodge and provides helicopter access to remote rivers and tributaries within the Tsimane watershed. Flights typically run short distances into isolated systems that are not accessible by boat or overland travel.

These rivers include a mix of freestone channels, clear tributaries, and jungle headwaters within flying range of the lodge. Each system varies in structure and water type, offering different fishing environments throughout the program.

Pluma Lodge serves as the base of operations for lodging, meals, and daily departures. Fishing is conducted in remote locations during the day, with return travel back to the lodge each evening.

Why We Go Here

The heli-fishing program is based out of Pluma Lodge and provides access to remote rivers and tributaries within the Mosetén region of Bolivia. These waters are reached exclusively by helicopter and are not accessible by boat or overland travel.

The program includes multiple river systems within flying distance of the lodge, each offering different water types and fishing conditions. These systems extend the range of the broader Tsimane watershed into more isolated areas.

Pluma Lodge functions as the central base for operations, including lodging, meals, and daily helicopter departures. Anglers return to the lodge each evening after fishing remote sections of river throughout the day.
