Jurassic Lake® is the original world-class fly fishing lodge located on Strobel Lake, one of the most remote and wild places of Southern Argentine Patagonia. Famous for its incredible trophy rainbow trout fishing in pristine waters, the lodge is strategically located on a protected bay within walking distance of the mouth of the Barrancoso River, Strobel Lake’s only significant tributary. This inlet is home to the most productive waters of the entire lake and is easily one of the very best trophy rainbow trout fisheries in the world.The Barrancoso River has rightfully earned the reputation as one of the best trophy rainbow trout streams in the world and with great fortune its most productive water is only a short walk from the Lodge.
Jurassic Lake Lodge holds more than ten miles of private land along the most productive and sheltered waters of Lago Strobel’s southwestern shore. Fish of a lifetime are caught here every season.

Relaxing in the comfort of the Jurassic Lake Lodge, visiting anglers look out upon a spectacular panoramic view of where the Barrancoso River joins Strobel Lake. The waters in this sheltered bay and the lower Barrancoso are easily among the greatest trophy rainbow trout fisheries in the world and they are only a short walk from the Lodge’s front steps. On any day of the season, a guest sitting in the Lodge’s comfortable front room could watch another visiting angler catch the biggest rainbow trout of their life.
Jurassic Lake Lodge can host up to ten visiting anglers. Single and double occupancy rooms are available and each includes a private bathroom and hot shower. Despite the remote and windswept location in Southern Argentine Patagonia, the Lodge remains connected to the outside world through satellite phones, satellite television and high speed internet access. Electricity is provided around the clock with our solar power system.

Travel Details
As an ancient proverb claims, "The longest journey begins with a single step." As a centralized country, it is likely that your trip to Argentina will begin in Buenos Aires. Your point of entry is Ezeiza Airport (officially called Ministro Pistarini).
Once in Buenos Aires, your next destination is El Calafate. It's important that you book your flight to El Calafate to arrive at least one day before your scheduled lodge entry date and spend the night in El Calafate. The trip to the lodge, whether by ground or air, begins early in the morning.
The next morning, you'll be picke up at your hotel to head to the lodge. The ground transfer is a 6-hour drive but charter flights are also available.
Once at the lodge, after a warm welcome, it's time to start fishing!

Terms
A deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total price is required to confirm a package at any of our lodges operated by the company or its subsidiaries. This deposit must be made within 10 days of the reservation date. The balance due shall be paid at least 60 days prior to the proposed arrival date.
Cancellation/Refund
The deposit required to confirm fishing reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE, unless client is replaced. Final payment is due 60 days before departure. At this point, individual is responsible for total land costs and no refund will be made. There is no refund for any unused portion of the land package.
The lodge is not responsible for cancellations made due to weather conditions or an event of major force.
Once you have made a reservation, it will be deemed that you have consented to our terms and conditions as well as to our cancellation policy detailed herein.

3. Our company will not be responsible for any loss damage or injury suffered aboard an airplane or a charter plane. The contract or ticket issued by them will constitute the sole contract between the airline or charter company with the passenger.
4. CHANGES IN ITINERARY - Major Force/All baggage The operator reserves the right to make changes in the trip itinerary whenever judged necessary by circumstances beyond control, or major force circumstances. In this case no Refund will be made.

The waters hold some of the largest rainbow trout in the world, and they provide anglers with exclusive access to the most productive beats in the entire watershed. Typically, a single guide will spend the day with a group of two or three anglers, depending on which beat is being fished.The main fishing rotation is centered around the most productive beats, all located close to the lodge: Right of the Mouth – A prime section of shoreline offering consistent action and big fish. Left of the Mouth – Another legendary spot where the Barrancoso River feeds Strobel Lake, attracting massive trout. Bay of Pigs – Known for its steady fishing and trophy-sized rainbow trout.
Lower Section of the Barrancoso River are just a short walk from the lodge, offering exceptional river fishing with incredible sight-fishing opportunities.
