It doesn't get much more classic than the No Hackle PMD Dun.This version actually has a little bit of hackle for stability but remains super sparse.

With very little hackle, just a fork tail, body, and sparse wing, this PMD imitation is best used in slick, slow, non-turbulent water. When you have wary trout rising to our pink and yellow fork-tailed friends, trust this fly to fool them. We highly recommend applying some floatant to this pattern before use to aid in floatation.
