The Abel Vise Base is simply the nicest fly tying base on planet earth. If you have ever fished or fondled an Abel Reel you know how beautifully machined they are. The Abel Vise Base is made with this same super high quality machining and anodization.
The Abel Vise Base is fully machined 6061T6 aluminm, and has type 2 anodization.There are three vise locations on the base as well as 5 milled pockets for hooks, beads and other materials. A rare earth magnet is concealed in the large pocket. The Abel Vise Base has sticky soft rubber feet and it's very heavy so it's not going anywhere while you are cranking out your favoirte patterns. A large easy to grip thumb screw makes securing your vise very easy.The Abel Vise Base fits most major vise manufacturers vis shafts - any vise with 3/8"
