Travel Details
Traveling to Astove Atoll begins with a flight to Mahé International Airport in the Seychelles. Guests are required to arrive in Mahé the day before their trip to ensure a smooth connection with the charter flight to Astove. The charter flight departs from the IDC Hangar in Mahé and takes approximately three hours, including a stop at Alphonse Island. Upon arrival at Astove, guests are transferred to the lodge for orientation and tackle setup.
The fishing season runs from November to April, avoiding the unstable weather patterns outside this period. Guests should pack light due to luggage restrictions on the charter flight (15 kg main luggage and 5 kg hand luggage). Be sure to bring your fishing gear, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
