Calm clear conditions on the flats can be tougher than wind. Fish get spooky and flats get flatter. When you need to make a long perfect cast that doesn’t splash and spook everything on the flats get the Airflo Superflo Max Ridge 2.0 Flats Tactical Taper with 12ft Clear Tip.
Zero wind and blue skies sound great on the flats, right? Well, those windless days on the flats are not only hot but they can be super tough on the angler. Fish get spookier, flats are so slick that every cast seems to spook all life between you and the fish you are casting at, tough conditions to say the least. Give yourself the very best chance for success in these tough conditions with the Airflo Superflo Max Ridge 2.0 Flats Tactical Taper with 12ft Clear Tip.
The Superflo Max Ridge 2.0 is your go to Permit fly line. It has an extended head and convex front taper design that will turn over a heavy crab with accuracy.
Airflo lines are made from Polyurethane – an inert, stable, fully recyclable material that requires no plasticizers and lasts far long than PVC.
Polyurethane has more abrasion resistance and doesn’t crack under UV exposure or extreme temperatures. It holds its shape better, meaning less coiling and tangles for the angler. Airflo lines are PVC free, coatings last longer, maintaining slickness and performance. Airflo’s use of Polyurethane means they can adjust density and hardness for specific line performance.
New for 2026 ,Airflo’s R&D team has developed “Elevate Elite” fly line coating technology to deliver the highest levels of buoyancy and suppleness. This advanced formula gives Airflo floating lines permanent buoyancy, exceptional durability, UV resistance and reduced risk of cracking over time.
Airflo’s use of Polyurethane (a true thermoplastic) means lines can be semi liquified and fused back together to form the strongest smoothest loops available.
Each Airflo line is marked/printed on its loop for easy identification. Airflo Lines have a low stretch core, approximately 6%, lower than many fly lines in the 20+ percent range. Low stretch means better mending, quicker sets, and better contact between you and your fly.
“Flo Max” technology utilizes a completely new material formulation. Each Superflo Max line moves through the extruder with less resistance than ever. This means Airflo lines have seamless smooth diameter transition and some of the thinnest, lightest running line in existence. Anglers can pick up and shoot more line than ever before.
