Abel SDX Reels are available in just two big sizes, the 9/11 and the 12/14. The Abel SDX 9/11 has a 5 inch diameter and a massive 15.5 inch per rotation retrieval rate. The 12/14 has a 5.5 inch diameter and 17.5 inch per rotation retrieval rate. Super smooth outgoing drags and caged a caged frame strengthens the reel and your confidence you can land the monster. A caged frame is perfect for spey anglers who want to double up on the use of this reel, caged frame eliminates running lines jumping between spool and frame.

Despite the SDX's size both models remain light given their massive line capacity, the 5" diameter 9/11 weighs only 10.5oz, the 12/14 at 5.5 inches in diameter weighs only 11.5oz.
