This reel has a drag system that has virtually no startup intertia, meaning it will keep your light tippet from breaking even when a big fish eats your fly. Think of it as creating a smoother transition on the hook set between slack line and being tight on a fish.

It is manufactured with 6061-T651 cold finished Aerospace grade Aluminum. Spaceship material, people.

Drag System

Rulon machined composite stacked discs are smooth enough to cushion the smallest tippets but also strong enough to stop a big fish in heavy current. Fully sealed design means no corrosion, no failures, and no bad days. 24 different levels for drag strength adjustment makes it incredibly versatile.

The two SDS Models are custom ordered reels made especially for us. Drag knobs and handles were ordered to go with the reels.
