Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth Carp is developed by carp anglers for carp anglers. Great from the front of a boat or wading. Built a half size heavy, it provides a bit of extra punch in the wind or with lightly weighted flies. Weight placed in the front half of the head provides the perfect loading point for quick casts to cruising carp. The head is 45 feet which includes a long 15 foot rear taper for exceptional loop stability and casting control. This head design allows sublime overhead casts and easy utilitarian roll casts. It performs while bottom bouncing flies for carp (not McKenzie River springers with 4 ounces of lead), fishing nymphs or long leaders for wary fish. The line features a tropical coating on a coldwater braided multifilament core, which extends is usefulness in warmwater conditions. It still excels in coldwater fisheries.
