Redington constructed the CRUX with a finer diameter blank to reduce resistance when casting. A thinner blank also ensures the rod recovers quicker, so you maintain full-control over your cast at all times. The stiffer tip-design in this fast action rod reduces vibrations and greatly increases your strength and turnover, which is essential when fishing in heavy winds or with heavy flies.
