Iwana Retro Series Fly Reels remind us of the classic Bogdan reels. They have a classic look and feel, great sound, and are built to withstand years of fishing.
Retro Series reels have serpentine handles, click and pawl drag design, full frame construction (6061-T6 aircraft aluminum bar), and hand polished Ebonite handles. These are gorgeous reels. We are stocking trout sizes models presently but will add steelhead sized reels soon and are happy to order for you anytime. Iwana Minami reels have a simpler design with equal reliability. Click and pawl drags, full frame construction, sandblasted anodized finish, raised pattern lathed on the out edge of the frame to prevent wear and tear and an Ebonite handle.

While some may love the idea of putting traditional looking Iwana reels on bamboo rods (great idea) these reels are right at home with modern graphite rods and anglers who simply like a super nice click and pawl fly reel.
