The G. Loomis Asquith Fly series is the flagship family of rods from G. Loomis. Both freshwater (4 through 7 weight) and saltwater (8 through 12 weight) models are rolled on Spiral X Core blank in Kumatoto, Japan and hand assembled in Woodland, Washington. Freshwater models are the highest end dry fly, streamer, hopper dropper, or double nymph rods. Saltwater models will outperform others in any venue. Spiral X technology delivers unparalleled lightness and strength utilizing carbon tape crafted with high strength resin developed with Toray Nano alloy technology. These rods deliver unmatched light swing weight, uncompromising durability and refined fast action performance. This produced exceptional bending, torsional and compressional rigidity in all directions. Both series are crafted with premium components including: PVD recoil snake guides, AAA grade cork and a fixed hood reel with precision knurling. The freshwater models feature Fuji T2 black Titanium stripper guides while the saltwater models utilize Fuji T3 black Titanium stripper guides. Each Asquith Fly Rod includes an aluminum rod tube and rod cloth bag.
