All Generation 2 Platinum Switch rods are 10ft 8inches in length. We love the 5/6 for trout streamers and lighter summer steelhead applications. The 7/8 model is one of the best all around switch rods we know of. Summer and Winter Steelhead with short heads are perfect on the 7/8 and gettting down and dirty rolling beads and other deadly tactics are also made easy with the 7/8. The 8/9 is your bigger steelhead and salmon model. When you need to chuck the big fly with the heavy sinking head the 8/9 will get the job done.
