Stonefly Patterns: Dry Flies for Trout & Steelhead

Stoneflies are incredibly diverse in size, color and behavior. From the blizzard hatches of Little Yellow Stones that almost resemble mayfly emergences, to the unique and active Short Wing stonefly of the fall. Of course the Salmon Fly hatches of the west garner the most attention and rightfully so. How much fun is it to see a huge rainbow come up and slurp a size 4 Salmon Fly pattern.
