The Surveyor 2000 ZS Backpack strikes a perfect balance between specific fly-fishing functionality and a stand-alone pack.
The vision behind the Surveyor Backpack was to design a fly-fishing specific backpack that has technical functionality while also meeting the needs of the angler who needs or uses a backpack.
A fully-zipped, clam-shell opening means no more digging from the top down for items—you have quick and easy access to the entire main compartment. This new, redesigned backpack has a back-panel that incorporates the same injection-molded frame-sheet as the new Umpqua Ledges Waist Pack. This panel allows for added support, weight transfer, and increased ventilation for all day comfort. This is a wonderful pack for all-day escapades and “no trail, no problem” types of days.
This pack integrates with the Rock Creek, Overlook, and Swiftwater packs.
What is Zero Sweep Technology?
Umpqua has created a unique, cutting-edge system of ports and attachment points for your go-to tools that are snag free. Retractors are built-in and threaded out of ports where tools, such as nippers, are stationed snag-free. ZS (Zero Sweep) bags are also constructed with hemostat sheathes, which securely fasten your clamps to the exterior of your pack, yet they are out-of-sight, and are seamlessly accessed.
Your line spends more time in the water and less time wrapped around your hemostats, floatant, and nippers! In other words, elimination of the phrase, “how the hell did this even happen?” from your on-the-water lingo.
