Guide Reviews, Video, and Sales on HATCH Professional Tropical Floating Fly Lines.
HATCH delivers us a fantastic, all around Tropical Floating line: From the flats to the deep blue, this floater will get the job done.
Line Core: Power Core in graduated strength from 28 pounds on the WF7-WF9 lines and 40 pounds on the WF 10-12 lines. This is smart thinking to use different cores because if you are not likely to be casting a 12 wt for bonefish, right?
Low stretch? this means that with less then six percent stretch, we can set hooks at distance better then ever.
Line weights available: the HATCH Tropical Professional Series Floating fly line is available in line wts. 7-12, covering the vast majority of our needs.
Fly Line Color: HATCH thought this issue over and selected a Sand running line into a turtle grass head section on these Intermediate lines. Great choice to keep the fish at ease and the grab positive.
Head Length: roughly 38 feet.
Overall Line Length? Fly Line Length: 100 ft. on 7 - 9 wt. and 110 ft. on 10-12 wt..
Welded Loops: The front and back ends of this Tropical Floating fly line are equipped with welded loops to ease the process of quick rigging – a wonderful feature in our estimation.
Ridged Texture. Consistent with AIRFLO technology, the ridges deliver less resistance and allow longer casts.
Memory Free performance. Strip this line onto the deck and let fly your best cast, the line will deliver tangle free bombs most every time.
Head taper profile? This is a gradual taper for intuitive performance, regardless of the angler’s experience level.
High Floating lines? Yes indeed. These lines feature the SUPER DRI technology that creates a line that floats higher and longer then the lines we had even a few years ago.
Line longevity? with a dual coating in the line over the Power Core, these liens are virtually impervious to the cracking that harsh conditions of sun and salt wreaked on our old fly lines. Fish these babies as hard as you wish, they are tough as nails.
