RioMax shooting head fly lines are offered to suit a wide variety of fishing conditions and include floating, intermediate, sink rate 3 and sink rate 6 line densities. Salmon anglers are often enamored with the Rio Shooting Head fly lines in the sink rates 3 and 6 to deliver their flies to moderate and deep swift flowing waters inhabited by monster kings, silvers, and chum salmon. The RioMax Shooting Head fly lines in floating and Intermediate sink rates are often the lines of choice for lake and striper fishers if their quarry is in the upper few feet of water, which is often the case.

RioMax Shooting head fly lines are 30 ft and are tapered to deliver assertive turnover of weighted or air-resistant flies. The heads are density compensated to ensure that the tip portion sinks at the same rate as the belly of the shooting head, making for a better fly presentation and more effective hook setting.

Rio Shooting Head Fly lines are equipped with a line-weight coded loops at one end of the shooting head fly line, providing for quick head switch-outs if fishing conditions dictate a fishing-depth strategy change.
