Don’t mistake this authentic tail cross-section for Arctic Fox body hair. Arctic Fox body fur is relatively short and fine, with few guard hairs. This Eumer Arctic Fox Fur is an on-the-hide cross section of the tail, includes the tail guard hairs, and iw very dense. This hair makes amazing tails and wings on our salmon and steelhead flies. We spin this tail fur in dubbing loops to make brushes that range from sparse to thick – applied to our Intruder flies.

This product is a little shorter than the Emur Coon Fur. The colors are bright and true. A very soft fur that is a delight to work with for anyone who grew up with Calf Tails. This Eumer Arctic Fox Tail fur ties in well presents a decisive profile, and provides movement in the water. Sometimes we use wings that are sparse and almost entirely composed of guard hairs. Sometimes we use Eumer Arctic Fox Tail fur that we have pulled our all of the guard hairs and are only using under fur. The possibilities are endless. Each package contains a stout cross section of fur-on-hide that is cut from the tail. This Eumer Arctic Fox Tail fur is in the 2” – 2 ½” range.
