The Daiichi 2441 salmon and steelhead fly is a hook that, as labeled, is analogous to the TMC 7989 “light wire” salmon and steelhead fly hook. However, the wire on a Daiichi 2412 low water salmon and steelhead hook is a little heavier than the wire on a TMC 7978. We highly approve of this hook. Like the Daiichi 2441 steelhead and salmon hook, the D2412 has a sharp point, low barb, and that great turned up looped eye that is traditional on salmon and steelhead flies.
