AirFlo PolyLeaders are the perfect tool to fish with single hand fly rods, Switch fly rods, and Spey fly rods. Here is an example of versatility: AirFlo PolyLeaders are specifically designed for Trout, Light Trout, Sea Trout/Steelhead, Bass/Pike, Salmon/Steelhead, Saltwater, Tarpon, Bonefish, And fish with nasty sharp teeth.
All of the AirFlo PolyLeaders have a smooth welded loop at the butt of the PolyLeader to attach the PolyLeader to the fly line, and a loop in the mono core to attach an appropriate tippet at the terminal end of the PolyLeader. ... view more
The range of lengths and breaking strengths of these PolyLeaders is vast, and several of these are sure to fit the needs of every fly angler. Spey and Switch rod fishing is an application particularly well suited to using either the Sea Trout/Steelhead or the Salmon/Steelhead PolyLeader. One or the other of these leaders will be suitable for the entire range of single hand, Switch rod, or two-hand Spey rod fishing for salmon and steelhead. Lighter PolyLeaders are best matched with single hand rods and lines, or with Scandinavian Head lines like the AirFlo Scandi Compact Head fly lines.
The longer and heavier Airflo PolyLeaders are suitable for use with Airflo Skagit Compact head fly lines or may be matched up with single hand and switch rods in the 7 wt and heavier range – perfect salmon, steelhead, and striper fly rods.
The wide variety of Airflo PolyLeaders is both a boon and a bane – it can be a little perplexing making choices and matching up with different rods, lines, and applications.
